About Pristine Environmental Services
Pristine Environmental Services was developed to address the environmental needs of the dental community. Mercury has been a top priority with the federal EPA and state environmental regulators for the past decade due to its persistence and toxicity in the environment. Dentists are one of the few professions that safely use mercury while rendering it much less toxic as dental amalgam and yet dentists must address the important issue of proper disposal of this material to protect the environment.
Pristine was started as a way to safely process and sequester/recycle the amalgam sludge captured by Rebec CatchHg dental amalgam separators. Pristine operates a permitted conditionally exempt small quantity generator (CESQG) dental waste processing facility in Lynnwood, Washington. Although most dentists still have not installed amalgam separators to capture the amalgam discharged to the sewer most dentists have been informed of proper Best Management Practices for management of scrap dental amalgam wastes. Almost universally this waste must be managed to keep it out of the ordinary trash, biomedical waste, or from discharge down the sink.
Pristine established a mail-way scrap amalgam service as a convenient way for the busy dental practice to safely store and ultimately dispose of this waste in compliance with these best management practices. With our experience designing, building, and servicing amalgam separators we have developed a concentrated vacuum line cleanser suitable for maintaining proper function of your evacuation line system.
Pristine continues to develop environmental solutions for the needs of the dental industry. Our employees have over 30 years experience in the dental service industry and 15 years experience in management of hazardous waste. We know the needs of the dental professional and a dental office needs reliable, compliant, and simple solutions to properly manage mercury amalgam disposal. Pristine services can save time and money and let your practice get back to the needs of your customers.
